The universal grinder combines external, internal and auxiliary surface grinding in one machine, using a swiveling wheelhead and interchangeable spindle attachments. It suits toolrooms and jobbing shops that need to handle varied part types without owning three separate dedicated grinders.

Covers external, internal, taper and (with the auxiliary attachment) flat surface grinding on shafts, bushings, tool blanks and small dies, generally Ø5–320mm external diameter and up to 1000mm between centers. It is built around part variety rather than a single repeat job.
