Bed length, swing and drive power scale with your largest crankshaft. Foundation loading, crane capacity and hall dimensions are settled together with the machine layout during quotation.

Workpiece Range

Grinds marine main and auxiliary engine crankshafts, locomotive crankshafts and large generator-set crankshafts, from 3 to 10 meters long and up to about 30 tons, in forged and alloy steel. Main journals go up to Ø500mm with throw radii up to 300mm.

Tolerance at Scale

Roundness holds to ≤0.005mm, which reflects the scale of the part rather than a machine limitation. Hydrostatic work-head support and multiple steady rests control deflection along the length, and thermal drift is managed with coolant temperature control on long runs.
