The crankshaft and camshaft grinder is a dual-mode CNC platform for shops that handle both engine components, switching between orbital crankpin grinding and cam lobe profile grinding on one machine through interchangeable work-head setups and stored programs.

Workpiece Range

Covers automotive, motorcycle and small diesel crankshafts up to 1500mm and camshafts up to 1200mm with as many as 16–20 lobes, in forged steel, ductile iron or chilled cast iron. Journals and pins are ground to roundness ≤0.003mm, with cam lobes verified against the stored lift data.

The dual-mode layout pays off when monthly volumes of each part are modest and the alternative is two under-utilized machines. For a plant running thousands of one crankshaft model per week, a dedicated crankshaft grinder will out-produce it and is the better investment.
