The universal cylindrical grinding machine is the CNC-controlled counterpart to our manual universal grinder — external, internal and taper grinding modes are switched by servo-driven wheelhead positioning and programmed spindle cartridge selection rather than by hand, so a production shop gets multi-process flexibility with CNC-level repeatability.

Internal grinding spindle cartridges are selected by bore diameter range, the same as on the manual universal grinder; tell us your smallest and largest bore and we will match the cartridge set.

Processing Scope

Covers external, internal, taper and shoulder grinding on shafts, bushings and step-diameter parts from Ø5–320mm and up to 1000mm between centers, in hardened steel and alloy materials, with the CNC program handling the transition between modes on parts that combine several of these features.

Compared with the Manual Version

Tolerance improves to IT5–IT6 with roundness ≤0.002mm versus IT6–IT7 on the manual universal grinder, and repeat batches of the same multi-feature part run more consistently since the CNC program, not an operator's memory, controls the sequence between modes.
