This cylindrical grinding machine line is built for large-diameter, long workpieces — steel and rolling mill rolls, wind-turbine main shafts, large pump/generator shafts and heavy machinery spindles — that exceed the capacity of our standard cylindrical grinder range.

Bed length, swing diameter and drive power are matched to your largest workpiece and expected weight — foundation and crane-access requirements are confirmed together with the machine layout.

Workpiece Range

Handles external cylindrical and, where required, taper or crown-profile grinding on rolls, shafts and spindles from Ø200mm up to Ø1250mm and up to 8000mm long, in forged or alloy steel. Roundness tolerance is naturally wider than on small precision parts given the scale involved, typically ≤0.01mm.

Roll & Shaft Profiles

An optional profile-grinding program allows crown or camber grinding for rolling-mill rolls, in addition to straight cylindrical grinding for large shafts. Heavy-duty steady rests and an auto-balancing routine keep the large rotating mass stable throughout the cycle.
