The conventional grinder is a manually operated universal cylindrical grinder for toolrooms, maintenance departments and small-batch production, using handwheel infeed and mechanical dials instead of CNC programming. It is the straightforward, lower-cost option for shops that grind a wide variety of parts rather than running one repeat job.

The swiveling headstock and footstock handle external, internal and taper grinding on general shafts, tool blanks and repair parts, with the operator setting infeed by graduated dial rather than digital program.
