This precision tier trades maximum diameter/length range for tighter roundness and finish — for larger general shafts, our standard CNC cylindrical grinder is the better fit.

Workpiece Range

Suited to bearing races, valve spools, precision pins, small hydraulic rods and similar critical-tolerance parts from Ø5–200mm in diameter and up to 1000mm long, in hardened steel and bearing-grade alloys. Batch sizes range from precision job-shop work to mid-volume production.

Tolerance & Finish

Achievable tolerance is IT4–IT5 with roundness ≤0.001mm and surface finish down to Ra0.05–0.1µm using fine-grit wheels and reduced infeed rates. Where an even finer surface is required, an optional superfinish/polishing head can be added after the grinding pass.
